Staff Accountant | HOONIGAN

The Tone:
This is a Staff Accountant role for Hoonigan, a company that serves the automotive enthusiast community. Hoonigan builds and distributes a broad range of vehicle enhancements, including wheels, suspension, lighting, and accessories, through a global network of retailers and e-commerce. This role is critical for maintaining the accuracy and integrity of the company’s financial records, supporting timely financial reporting, and assisting with audits across a global business operation.

The TL;DR

What You’ll Actually Do
• Financial Record Accuracy: Prepare and review monthly reconciliations to ensure the accuracy and integrity of financial records.
• Financial Close Support: Assist in the monthly and year-end financial close processes, ensuring accurate and timely reporting.
• Reporting & Audit Collaboration: Collaborate on the preparation of monthly filings and support the annual financial statement audits.
• Statement Preparation Assistance: Assist with the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow reports.
• Daily Accounting Operations: Perform a variety of journal entries, general ledger account reconciliations, and other daily accounting tasks in compliance with GAAP standards.

The Must-Haves
• Background: Entry-Level, with a core understanding of accounting principles.
• Experience: 1+ year of accounting experience, proficiency with accounting software and MS Excel.
• Skills: Strong analytical skills, attention to detail, strong organizational skills, and problem-solving abilities.
• Bonus: Experience in public accounting is preferred, and proficiency with SAP software is a plus.
