Financial Analyst | SPC Construction

The Tone:
This is an in-person, full-time role at SPC Construction, located within the NY/NJ Metro Area. As a Financial Analyst, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring strategic decisions are data-driven and grounded in solid fiscal analysis, supporting impactful and industry-leading work.

• Mission: Ensure strategic decisions are data-driven and grounded in solid fiscal analysis by compiling and analyzing financial data across all divisions.

What You’ll Actually Do
• Treasury Management: Oversee daily treasury and cash management activities, including reviewing bank transactions, initiating wire transfers and ACH payments, monitoring Positive Pay files, maintaining daily cash balances, and reconciling cash receipts.
• Financial Reporting: Generate and distribute biweekly Billings, Payments, and Collections reports and prepare monthly financial comparison and variance reports to support analysis and decision-making.
• Accounts Receivable: Manage all accounts receivable operations, including recording customer billings, reconciling balances, monitoring collections and aging reports, and resolving billing discrepancies, in addition to preparing and issuing Time & Material (T&M) billings.
• General Accounting: Record daily journal entries, support month-end and year-end closing activities, and prepare and maintain accurate bank reconciliations while promptly resolving outstanding items.
• Cross-functional Support: Collaborate closely with Accounting, Accounts Payable, Payroll, Project Controls, and Operations teams to ensure accurate financial reporting, assist with monthly cash flow forecasts, and provide documentation for internal and external audit requests.

The Must-Haves
• Background: A Bachelor’s Degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field is required.
• Experience: Prior experience in corporate finance or accounting functions is required.
• Skills: Demonstrated detail orientation and personal ownership over assigned duties, strong financial acumen and comprehensive knowledge of general accounting principles, and an analytical, process-driven approach.
