The Tone:
This is a full-time hybrid role at U.S. Bank, requiring three or more days per week at a U.S. Bank location. This position plays a crucial part in supporting the financial health and strategic planning of key consumer and small business credit card portfolios, directly contributing to the company’s shared ambition.

• Team: Payments business, supporting Financial Planning & Analysis for consumer and small business credit card portfolios.
• Mission: Owns the financial forecasting, planning, and analytical support for U.S. Bank’s consumer and small business credit card portfolios to ensure profitability.
• Tech Stack: Spreadsheets, statistical models, data mining tools, visualization tools

What You’ll Actually Do
• Forecasting: Conduct monthly financial forecasts and complete the annual financial plan for consumer and small business credit card portfolios.
• Reporting: Prepare and deliver comprehensive financial reports to management and stakeholders.
• Analysis: Perform in-depth portfolio analytics, including detailed variance explanations for management.
• Modeling: Develop, maintain, and utilize complex financial models to support forecasting and various analyses.
• Collaboration: Work closely with other teams within Finance or U.S. Bank to effectively manage portfolio profitability.

The Must-Haves
• Background: Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience in a related financial field.
• Experience: Two or more years of related experience, specifically in financial analysis functions.
• Skills: Well-developed mathematical and analytical skills, proficiency in financial analysis techniques, strong communication abilities.
• Bonus: Working knowledge of general accounting procedures, ability to identify and resolve data exceptions and analyze data, strong technical skills in data mining and visualization tools.
