Cainiao-Last Mile Hub Manager-Rennes | Cainiao Group
The Tone:
This is a full-time role at Cainiao Group, located in Rennes, France. Cainiao Group is focused on building and optimizing global smart logistics networks, enabling efficient and reliable delivery services. This role is crucial for managing and enhancing the efficiency and performance of both hub-based sorting operations and regional last-mile delivery services within a defined area, ensuring seamless flow of goods to customers.

• Team: Reports to the Head of Last Mile; manages a team of Last Mile Supervisors and hub staff.
• Mission: Optimize and manage all hub and last-mile delivery operations within a defined region to ensure operational stability and continuous improvement.

What You’ll Actually Do
• Delivery Performance: Manage regional last-mile delivery performance via a team of Last Mile Supervisors, setting KPIs, and driving corrective actions with Delivery Service Providers (DSPs).
• Hub Operations: Oversee all hub-based sorting, handling activities including XL parcels and cross-dock operations, ensuring efficient inbound/outbound throughput and DSP loading.
• Team Leadership: Recruit, onboard, develop, and retain both hub and supervisor teams, conducting performance reviews and coaching to foster a high-performing environment.
• Process Optimization: Identify and address operational bottlenecks across both on-the-road and under-the-roof scopes, implementing Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and leading continuous improvement projects.
• Stakeholder Coordination: Liaise with regional operations, planning, finance, HR, and temp agencies for accurate forecasting, staffing, budget alignment, and cross-functional problem-solving.
The Must-Haves
• Background: Bachelor’s degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
• Experience: At least 3 years of experience in delivery operations, logistics, or supply chain management in a supervisory or managerial capacity. Proven success in managing daily operational workflows and leading diverse teams.
• Skills: Strong leadership and people management skills with a hands-on approach, excellent organizational and problem-solving abilities, proficiency in delivery management systems and data analysis tools, proficiency in Excel and strong analytical thinking, good communication skills with fluency in French and English.
• Bonus: Master’s degree is a plus. Familiarity with regional logistics networks and regulatory requirements.
