Baseball Operations Internship | Ripken Baseball
The Tone:
This is an internship at Diamond Nation, located in Flemington, NJ. Ripken Baseball operates world-class baseball tournaments and events, recognized for setting high standards in the nation. This role is crucial for assisting with all phases of event operations, ensuring participants, coaches, and parents receive an elevated and memorable experience. The intern will directly contribute to the successful execution of programming, uphold brand values, and potentially secure future opportunities within the organization.

• Mission: Execute world-class baseball and softball tournaments and events by providing operational support and exceptional customer service for participants at Diamond Nation.
What You’ll Actually Do
• Operations Support: Assist with the planning, preparation, and execution of all programming at a world-class facility.
• Participant Experience: Create a fun and positive atmosphere for event participants, acting as a role model and developing camaraderie.
• Event Execution: Run the scoreboard, relay messages to the Tournament Director, and complete various operational tasks around the complex.
• Facility Maintenance: Assist in weekly facility maintenance and upkeep to ensure a world-class environment.
• Stakeholder Communication: Communicate with coaches and parents before and after tournaments to provide an elevated experience for young athletes.
The Must-Haves
• Background: Entry-level college student with an interest in sports administration and operations.
• Experience: Prior customer service experience and prior experience working with children, demonstrating patience and compassion.
• Skills: Excellent communication skills, strong initiative, attention to detail, ability to solve problems and manage conflict under pressure, and superb time-management skills.
• Bonus: Prior leadership experience, previous experience within the sports sector, genuine passion for baseball/softball, and a strong understanding of the game’s fundamentals.
