What You’ll Actually Do
• Project Planning: Assist in developing comprehensive project plans, schedules, and budgets, providing insights into the strategic aspects of construction management from inception.
• Stakeholder Coordination: Collaborate with superintendents, subcontractors, and various other stakeholders to ensure seamless communication and effective coordination across the entire project lifecycle.
• Progress Monitoring: Track project progress diligently, update schedules, and prepare reports on key milestones to ensure all projects remain on schedule and meet established deadlines.
• Financial Management Support: Gain exposure to and support project cost estimation, detailed budget tracking, and thorough cost analysis, ensuring projects adhere strictly to financial parameters.
• Document Control: Manage essential project documentation, which includes contracts, blueprints, change orders, and other critical records, maintaining accuracy and accessibility.
The Must-Haves
• Background: Bachelor Degree; Entry-Level. Currently enrolled in a bachelor’s degree program in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field, possessing a basic understanding of construction practices, processes, and terminology.
• Experience: Proficiency with AutoCAD, Microsoft Office suite, and relevant project management software.
• Skills: Strong analytical capabilities for interpreting project plans, data, and specifications; clear verbal and written communication for effective stakeholder collaboration; robust organizational abilities for managing project documents, schedules, and progress tracking; effective time management skills to ensure deadlines are met; meticulous attention to detail for accuracy in documentation and reporting.
