The Tone:
This is a temporary winter internship at UHY-US, located in Greenwood. UHY is one of the nation’s largest professional services firms, providing audit, tax, consulting, and advisory services primarily to dynamic middle market clients. As an Audit Intern, you will gain practical, hands-on experience in the audit and assurance field, working alongside experienced professionals and contributing to the accuracy and integrity of financial reporting for a diverse clientele.

What You’ll Actually Do
• Collaborate with audit teams to perform tasks such as data entry, documentation preparation, and basic analysis of financial information.
• Assist in conducting various audit procedures, including substantive testing and control testing, to ensure compliance and accuracy.
• Support the meticulous maintenance of audit files and related documentation, ensuring they are accurate, organized, and compliant with firm standards.
• Contribute to the preparation of essential audit workpapers and comprehensive audit reports.
• Utilize audit software and specialized tools for efficient data input, report extraction, and to effectively support overall audit processes.

The Must-Haves
• Background: Entry-Level position for individuals currently enrolled at an accredited college or university pursuing a degree in accounting, finance, or a related field.
• Experience: 0-1 year of relevant experience is required. Candidates must possess a High School Diploma or GED or an equivalent high school certificate.
• Skills: Demonstrated ability to perform data entry, prepare documentation, and conduct basic financial analysis. Requires keen attention to detail for accuracy, effective communication with team members, and a strong commitment to professionalism and ethical standards.
• Bonus: A cumulative GPA of 3.0 or higher is preferred.
