The Tone:
This is a full-time role at Sherwin-Williams, located in Springfield, MO. This accelerated, entry-level training program is designed to prepare you for a Store Management role, offering leadership development and contributing to market share by selling high-quality products to large commercial users. What You’ll Actually Do
• Program Completion: Complete the structured training program, preparing for an Assistant Store Manager position and eventual Store Management role.
• Business Growth: Support business strategies to increase sales, optimize profitability, and make outside sales calls to grow market share.
• Customer Relations: Ensure high levels of customer satisfaction through excellent service and build positive relationships with wholesale and retail customers.
• Product Knowledge: Build and maintain comprehensive knowledge of all products to ensure effective recommendations to customers.
• Store Operations: Complete store administration, maintain outstanding store condition, ensure visual merchandising standards, and comply with all policies and procedures.

The Must-Haves
• Background: Must have at least a bachelor’s degree by the start of this development program; Entry-level position designed to prepare for a Store Management role.
• Experience: Must be legally authorized to work in the country of employment without needing sponsorship now or in the future; Must have a valid, unrestricted Driver’s License.
• Skills: Ability to lift and carry up to 50 lbs. frequently and up to 70 lbs. on occasion; Foundational understanding of customer service, sales, and marketing principles; Basic knowledge of finance and operations for managing a business; Ability to establish professional networks within the community.
• Bonus: At least one year experience working in a retail, sales, or customer service position; At least one year of experience in a leadership role, supervising others, or leading teams; Previous experience working in a team-oriented setting; Previous work experience selling paint and paint-related products; Work experience using timekeeping and/or customer relationship management (CRM) systems; Willingness to relocate for future job opportunities; Ability to read, write, comprehend, and communicate in more than one language, particularly Spanish.
