Early Career Intern – Fundamental Equities COO Office | Invesco

The Tone:
This is a full-time, 9-week summer internship at Invesco, located in their New York office. Invesco is a leading independent global investment firm dedicated to rethinking possibilities for clients by delivering a wide range of investment strategies and vehicles. This role offers students the chance to dive into the investment world, learn from industry professionals, and build lasting connections. Successful interns could be eligible for a full-time offer to join Invesco’s Early Career Program after graduation.

• Team: IFE COO Office, an operating and enabling team for Invesco Fundamental Equities, responsible for $310bn AUM. It functions as the connective tissue between the investment teams, CIOs, and the rest of the firm.
• Mission: Solve operational problems, support technology and AI initiatives, contribute to strategy and planning, assist with people and talent matters, and compile management reporting for the Invesco Fundamental Equities platform.
• Tech Stack: Python, SQL, Power BI, Bloomberg Terminal, R Studio, Excel, Copilot, agentic tooling

What You’ll Actually Do
• Operations: Help identify solutions to operational problems, understand detailed issues, and support the meetings and follow-ups required for their resolution.
• Technology & AI: Work hands-on with Copilot and agentic tooling to identify, create, and test new technology opportunities.
• Strategy: Conduct research, benchmarking, and analysis that informs the IFE strategy and broader firm initiatives.
• People & Talent: Support workstreams related to any and all people matters across the platform.
• Reporting: Assist in assembling the platform scorecard, tracking initiatives, and compiling management and board materials.

The Must-Haves
• Background: Currently enrolled in a bachelor’s degree program and be a rising Junior graduating by summer of 2028. All majors are welcomed, with an emphasis on Finance, Accounting, Mathematics, Statistics, Economics, Computer Science, Engineering, Data Analytics, or Business-related fields.
• Experience: No prior years required, but candidates must demonstrate an interest in investments. Prior internship experience in investment management is preferred but not required.
• Skills: Minimum GPA of 3.2 on a 4.0 scale. Must be authorized to work in the U.S. on a permanent basis, as Invesco does not offer employment-based immigration sponsorship for this program.
• Bonus: Experience with creative problem-solving and analytical thinking, prioritizing work and meeting deadlines in a fast-paced environment, gathering and interpreting market data, applying AI tools across multiple domains, and intermediate proficiency with Python, SQL, Power BI, Bloomberg Terminal, R Studio, or Excel.
