Business Operations Intern | Sparrow

The Tone:
This is a full-time internship at Sparrow, an AI startup pioneering Agentic apps designed to teach physical skills. The company develops AI-driven applications, with its flagship Sparrow Golf already assisting over 500,000 users in improving their swing through personalized, AI-powered coaching. Led by successful serial entrepreneurs with a track record of multiple company exits and over $20 million in venture capital raised, Sparrow offers a unique environment. This role is crucial for supporting the early-stage operations of a growing company, providing broad exposure to various business functions and direct collaboration with experienced founders. The intern will contribute significantly by designing and improving processes that drive real results for the business.

What You’ll Actually Do
• Business Operations: Manage various operational tasks for an early-stage startup, encompassing HR functions, financial administration, logistical coordination, and bill payments, ensuring smooth day-to-day business flow.
• Data Analysis: Perform detailed data analysis and develop comprehensive financial models to inform strategic decisions and track business performance.
• Process Improvement: Actively participate in designing and refining key business processes, implementing improvements that directly lead to enhanced efficiency and tangible outcomes.
• Project Collaboration: Work closely with Sparrow’s founders and team members on a range of high-impact projects, contributing to critical initiatives across the organization.
• Versatile Support: Undertake diverse responsibilities across different areas of the business, demonstrating adaptability and a willingness to contribute wherever needed.

The Must-Haves
• Background: Recent college graduate with a Bachelor’s degree and an interest in operations within the AI/GenAI space. Entry-Level.
• Experience: No specific years required. Affinity with spreadsheets, numbers, and math. Quick to learn new programs.
• Skills: Organization and coordination, analytical aptitude, clear and confident communication (both written and verbal, especially for engaging with angel investors), adaptability in navigating new tools and concepts, and strong multi-tasking and time management abilities.
• Bonus: Excitement for startups and technology, a creative thinking approach to problem-solving, and a team-oriented mindset for collaboration and shared success.
