2027 Audit Summer Internship – Greenwood | UHY-US
The Tone:
This is a temporary, less than six (6) month, internship at UHY-US, located in Greenwood. UHY is one of the nation’s largest professional services firms, providing audit, tax, consulting, and advisory services to clients primarily in the middle market. This role offers a unique opportunity to gain practical experience in audit and assurance, contributing to the accuracy and integrity of financial reporting for diverse clientele.

What You’ll Actually Do
• Collaboration: Collaborate with audit teams on tasks such as data entry, documentation preparation, and basic analysis of financial information.
• Procedure Execution: Assist in conducting audit procedures, including substantive testing and control testing.
• Documentation Management: Support the maintenance of audit files and documentation, ensuring they are accurate, organized, and compliant with firm standards.
• Report Preparation: Assist in the preparation of workpapers and audit reports, and compile financial data for audit analysis.
• Learning Engagement: Actively engage in training sessions and learning opportunities to enhance your understanding of audit concepts, practices, and software tools.
The Must-Haves
• Background: Currently enrolled at an accredited college/university pursuing a degree in accounting, finance, or a related field, with a High School Diploma or GED or High School equivalent certificate.
• Experience: 0-1 year of relevant experience.
• Skills: Attention to detail to ensure accuracy, effective communication with team members, and ability to utilize audit software and tools.
• Bonus: Cumulative GPA of 3.0 or higher.
