2027 University Intern-Lubricants | Phillips 66

The Tone:
This is a temporary, seasonal internship at Phillips 66, located in Houston, TX. Phillips 66 is a market leader in North America’s Lubricants sector, encompassing an entire manufacturing, logistics, and marketing value chain. This role provides university interns with hands-on experience through meaningful projects, helping them build technical and professional skills within the company. Interns will apply their academic knowledge and sharpen their business acumen, gaining on-the-job experience with the economics and analysis that drive real business decisions.

What You’ll Actually Do
• Onboard: Participate in orientation and training events, field trips, social activities, and weekly seminars to meet and interact with functional leaders.
• Develop: Engage in continuous coaching conversations with your manager and receive guidance from an assigned mentor for technical challenges and navigating the corporate environment.
• Present: Deliver an end-of-summer presentation to senior business leaders and key stakeholders, demonstrating learned insights and detailing your internship experience.
• Execute Projects: Apply skills to projects that range from optimizing and debottlenecking plant operations to evaluating and developing market strategies.
• Analyze Markets: Utilize business management tools to optimize the Lubricants’ supply chain and analyze market intelligence to identify growth opportunities within the industry.

The Must-Haves
• Background: Currently enrolled in a Bachelor’s degree program in Engineering, Economics, Finance, Mathematics/Data Analytics, Supply Chain Management, or an equivalent field of study, or a Master’s degree in Economics, Finance or MBA. Entry-Level with greater than 60 hours of earned college credit.
• Experience: Must be legally authorized to work in the job posting country. Graduation date of August 2027 or later, and available for a minimum of ten continuous weeks.
• Skills: Analytical capability, business acumen, communication skills, innovative thinking, proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
• Bonus: A minimum cumulative GPA of 3.0 on a 4.0 scale, and previous internship or co-op participation in a related industry.
