The Tone:
This is a full-time role at OPEN Healthcare US, located in Gardena, CA. OPEN Healthcare US is an advanced laboratory committed to enhancing the quality of life for patients by providing high-quality, reliable, and affordable laboratory and diagnostic services, specializing in esoteric clinical tests including allergy, molecular testing, and other custom assays. This role is crucial for an early-career accounting professional to support daily accounting operations, assist with the month-end close process, and maintain accurate financial records, ensuring the financial integrity of the organization.

• Mission: Owns ensuring accurate financial records and supporting daily accounting operations in accordance with U.S. GAAP.
• Tech Stack: Microsoft Excel, accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, NetSuite, or similar)

What You’ll Actually Do
• Journal Entries: Prepare and post accurate journal entries, including month-end accruals, prepaids, reclasses, and fixed asset transactions.
• Reconciliations: Reconcile general ledger accounts, including daily bank reconciliations, and investigate any variances.
• Accounts Payable: Manage accounts payable by processing vendor invoices, ensuring appropriate coding, and supporting timely payment execution.
• Financial Analysis: Perform monthly P&L and balance sheet flux analysis, providing clear and insightful commentary.
• Audit Support: Assist with the preparation of financial reports, internal schedules, and documentation required for audits and tax filings.

The Must-Haves
• Background: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field of study, or equivalent work experience. Entry-level accounting professional.
• Experience: 0–2 years of relevant accounting experience, including internship experience. Experience with accounting software is preferred.
• Skills: Strong attention to detail, excellent organizational and analytical skills, basic understanding of U.S. GAAP and accounting controls, proficiency in Microsoft Excel (VLOOKUP, pivot tables, formulas), clear verbal and written communication skills, ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines.
• Bonus: Planning to pursue CPA certification, prior industry experience in healthcare or a related sector, knowledge of U.S. GAAP and internal control best practices.
