The Tone:
This full-time Corporate Accountant role is based in Troy, Michigan, and offers hybrid working arrangements at Venteon. This newly created position is crucial for supporting a rapidly growing multi-entity manufacturing company’s financial operations. The role will be instrumental in ensuring accurate intercompany reconciliations, eliminations, and compliance with accounting standards, contributing to the company’s public readiness and continuous improvement initiatives.

What You’ll Actually Do
• Manage Reconciliations: Prepare and maintain intercompany reconciliations and elimination entries as a core part of the monthly and year-end close processes.
• Support Financial Close: Provide assistance for both month-end and year-end close processes to ensure timely and accurate financial reporting.
• Ensure Compliance: Support adherence to established transfer pricing policies and documentation requirements in partnership with tax and finance teams.
• Facilitate Audits: Provide comprehensive audit support related to intercompany activity, including necessary schedules, documentation, and compliance with accounting standards and internal controls.
• Contribute to ERP: Participate in ERP system implementation and optimization efforts specifically related to intercompany accounting, netting, and consolidation processes.

The Must-Haves
• Background: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting with a senior career level focus on relevant accounting practices.
• Experience: 5+ years of relevant accounting experience, with a strong understanding of intercompany reconciliations, eliminations, and close processes.
• Skills: Intercompany reconciliations, Elimination entries, Transfer pricing compliance, ERP system optimization, Internal controls.
• Bonus: CPA license or public accounting experience, and accounting experience within a multi-entity manufacturing company.
