This Accounting Associate position is a critical part of supporting both finance and plant operations, playing an important role in ensuring accurate reporting, improving processes, and contributing to the smooth day-to-day function of the plant. • Mission: Ensure accurate financial reporting, improve processes, and support daily plant operations within a manufacturing environment.

What You’ll Actually Do
• Operations Support: Partner with operations teams to review and resolve production discrepancies, providing essential support for accurate financial reporting within the SAP system.
• Fixed Assets: Develop foundational experience in fixed asset accounting, encompassing asset setup, capitalization procedures, and ongoing review processes to maintain data integrity.
• Accounts Payable: Act as a key contact for accounts payable activities, actively troubleshooting issues and ensuring the smooth and efficient processing of transactions using Coupa and SAP platforms.
• Financial Close: Contribute significantly to the monthly financial close process by accurately reconciling production orders and inventory, and conducting thorough analyses of variances.
• Process Improvement: Proactively identify opportunities to enhance existing processes and contribute to the implementation of solutions that improve overall efficiency and operational effectiveness across the business.

The Must-Haves
• Background: A Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a closely related field. This role is considered an Entry-Level position, ideal for building an accounting career.
• Experience: Demonstrable exposure to or experience in accounting or financial analysis principles and practices.
• Skills: Strong attention to detail and organizational capabilities; comfort and proficiency in using Microsoft Excel and Word; clear and effective communication skills, coupled with a collaborative approach to working across teams; and a curious, proactive mindset when approaching problem-solving and process improvement.
• Bonus: Prior experience within a manufacturing environment is helpful for this role, though it is not a mandatory requirement.
