Associate Director, Materials Management Systems | Montefiore Medical Center
The Tone:

• Mission: Define and execute the enterprise strategy, governance, and long-term roadmap for Montefiore Health System’s Materials Management information systems.

What You’ll Actually Do
• System Strategy: Define and execute the enterprise Materials Management systems strategy, including its roadmap, prioritization framework, and governance model.
• Technology Leadership: Serve as the enterprise functional owner and strategic leader for Materials Management–related technology, ensuring performance outcomes, system adoption, and continuous optimization.
• Operational Oversight: Oversee Materials Management operations in St. John’s Riverside and Garnet Health, integrating them into Montefiore processes across warehouse, central stores, receiving, distribution, and PAR distribution.
• Reporting & Analytics: Develop and maintain an enterprise reporting strategy, ensuring dashboards and analytics support executive decision-making and financial performance tracking.
• Continuous Improvement: Provide leadership in system optimization, issue prevention, reporting, testing, training, and continuous improvement initiatives across Materials teams and partners.
The Must-Haves
• Background: Associate Degree required, with equivalent experience and knowledge in a healthcare system in Materials Management/Supply Chain roles.
• Experience: 4-6 years of progressive experience in Materials Management, Supply Chain Systems, or MMIS support, preferably within a large healthcare system.
• Skills: High proficiency in Microsoft Office suite (especially Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook), demonstrated hands-on experience managing ERP Materials Management modules, experience supporting or managing systems for PO receiving, inventory control, and package tracking (e.g., InnerTrack), proven ability to lead cross-functional initiatives, strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
• Bonus: Bachelor’s Degree preferred, 4-6 years of leadership experience including managing teams or enterprise initiatives, 4-6 years experience supporting a multi-hospital/multi-site healthcare system, 4-6 years familiarity with healthcare supply chain analytics and reporting tools, 4-6 years experience developing and delivering system training programs, 4-6 years experience managing represented staff in a collectively bargained environment, strong project management skills (preferably PMP type certification).
