I.T Technologist | CAE

This role is crucial in supporting the creation, organization, and maintenance of SharePoint environments, ensuring that vital program information is structured, searchable, accessible, and governed throughout its lifecycle.

• Mission: Supports the creation, organization, and maintenance of SharePoint environments to ensure information is structured, searchable, accessible, and governed throughout the project lifecycle.

What You’ll Actually Do
• Content Management: Maintain, organize, classify, and archive project documentation within SharePoint Online and On-Premises sites, ensuring content accuracy and adherence to naming conventions and records management practices.
• Site Administration: Support the configuration and administration of SharePoint Online sites, managing user permissions, navigation structures, and integrating with other Microsoft 365 services.
• Information Governance: Maintain metadata standards to improve content discoverability and search effectiveness, supporting document lifecycle management and ensuring compliance with organizational policies.
• User Enablement: Serve as a primary contact for SharePoint content inquiries, developing user guides, delivering training sessions, and promoting content management best practices across project teams.
• Stakeholder Collaboration: Collaborate with various stakeholders to identify content management requirements, coordinate updates to project sites, and facilitate information sharing across geographically distributed teams.
The Must-Haves
• Background: Diploma or Bachelor’s Degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Information Management, Business Technology Management, Library and Information Science, or a related discipline.
• Experience: 1 to 3 years of experience supporting SharePoint Online and/or Microsoft 365 environments, with practical experience in document repositories, records management, document control, or content administration.
• Skills: Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, excellent written communication, ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously, customer-focused approach, strong collaboration, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
• Bonus: Experience supporting project teams or PMOs, expertise in metadata management or taxonomy development, experience with Power Automate workflows, and prior work within highly regulated environments like defense or government.
