Supply Chain Services Associate | Vallen

The TL;DR

• Location: In-person, Onsite at customer locations
• Pay: $22–$27 hourly
• Team: Reports to the Supply Chain Services Manager; collaborates with inside sales and account management.
• Mission: Ensures effective inventory management, adherence to service standards, and overall customer satisfaction at customer locations.
• Tech Stack: Vendor-managed inventory systems (VMI), vending machines

What You’ll Actually Do
• Inventory Management: Directly engage in restocking vending machines, VMI cabinets, and toolcribs, ensuring inventory levels align with set standards.
• Customer Support: Provide first-hand assistance to onsite customer queries, resolving immediate concerns related to inventory or tool usage.
• Asset Tracking: Ensure accurate logging and tracking of inventory used, restocked, or requested, adhering to Vallen’s inventory management protocols.
• Performance Monitoring: Maintain awareness of key performance indicators and collaborate with the Supply Chain Services Manager to ensure KPI goals are met.
• Issue Resolution: Proactively identify and address potential stockouts during vending/VMI fills and work closely with management to implement solutions.

The Must-Haves
• Background: High school diploma or equivalent; foundational knowledge in inventory management, distribution, or similar roles.
• Experience: 1+ years of experience in inventory management, distribution, or related operational roles.
• Skills: Familiarity with vendor-managed inventory systems and vending machines; effective verbal communication in customer-facing environments; analytical aptitude to assess inventory levels and identify issues.
