As a Tax Advisor, you will be a key and integral part of a collaborative and friendly team, directly involved in tax preparation, ensuring compliance, and proactively advising clients on strategic tax planning. What You’ll Actually Do
• Prepare: Take responsibility for preparing a wide variety of individual and business tax returns, encompassing c-corporations, s-corporations, and partnerships, with a pathway to increase the complexity and scope of returns handled.
• Cultivate: Actively build, maintain, and continually enhance strong client relationships through a deep understanding and demonstration of knowledge regarding each client’s unique business and financial situation.
• Support: Provide direct support or assistance with a range of essential accounting services for clients, including detailed bookkeeping, efficient payroll processing, and accurate sales tax compliance.
• Investigate: Identify, conduct thorough research on, and effectively resolve various tax issues encountered by clients, ensuring accurate and compliant outcomes.
• Grow: Engage in ongoing professional development to expand skills and knowledge, enabling the completion of increasingly complex and diverse types of tax returns over time.
The Must-Haves
• Background: Possesses a Bachelor’s Degree as a minimum requirement, demonstrating a foundational understanding of the core practices, theories, and policies essential to taxation and accounting.
• Experience: Requires 0-3 years of professional experience specifically focused on preparing a variety of tax returns for different entities and individuals.
• Skills: Proven capabilities in preparing tax returns, adept client relationship management, and the ability to effectively identify, research, and resolve tax-related challenges.
• Bonus: A Master’s Degree is a preferred qualification, and candidates who have either obtained their Enrolled Agent (EA) or Certified Public Accountant (CPA) licensure, or are actively working towards achieving one, are highly sought after.
