What You’ll Actually Do
• Record Keeping: Maintain ledgers, journals, databases, and files to meet accounting standards and regulations for quarterly reports.
• Expense Management: Prepare weekly expense vouchers and assist with payment processing.
• Report Generation: Support the preparation of quarterly Title IV-E and TANF reports.
• Financial Reconciliation: Assist with quarterly reconciliation between agency and county records.
• Cost Allocation: Determine the proper posting of payrolls to correct cost centers.
The Must-Haves
• Background: Entry-Level. Must meet PA residency requirements and be able to perform essential job functions. Ability to pass a background investigation, including submission and approval of satisfactory criminal history reports (PA State Police clearance, PA Child Abuse history clearance, and FBI Fingerprint clearance) as required by the Child Protective Services Law.
• Experience: One year as a Fiscal Assistant; OR three years of work involving the maintenance of fiscal or financial records, including one year of responsible work which involves the application of accounting or fiscal principles and practices, plus a high school diploma; OR one year of experience in maintaining and reviewing fiscal records with an Associate’s degree in accounting or business administration; OR any equivalent combination of experience and training.
