Accounts Payable Specialist I | TD SYNNEX North America

The Tone:
This is a full-time hybrid role at TD SYNNEX North America, located in Herndon, VA. TD SYNNEX’s finance team supports business operations, providing an exceptional experience for partners, vendors, and internal teams. This role is critical for processing vendor invoices, maintaining accurate financial records, and ensuring timely payments. The specialist will uphold high standards of accuracy and compliance, gaining valuable experience and contributing to a collaborative accounting team’s success.

What You’ll Actually Do
• Process: Process high volumes of vendor invoices and payment requests accurately and efficiently.
• Manage: Manage Accounts Payable correspondence and maintain organized financial records.
• Resolve: Research and resolve invoice discrepancies and payment-related issues in partnership with internal teams.
• Support: Support month-end close activities, account reconciliations, and financial reporting processes.
• Assist: Assist with internal and external audits by providing documentation and records as needed.

The Must-Haves
• Background: High School Diploma or equivalent. Core domain knowledge includes maintaining accurate financial records, ensuring timely payments, and upholding high standards of accuracy and compliance.
• Experience: No specific years are required. Experience using accounting or invoice-processing systems is considered an asset.
• Skills: Proficiency with Microsoft Windows and Microsoft Office applications, including Outlook and Excel, strong organizational skills with exceptional attention to detail, ability to prioritize multiple tasks and meet critical deadlines, strong accuracy and data-entry skills, and the ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment.
• Bonus: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, strong problem-solving, analytical, and decision-making abilities, a customer-focused mindset, ability to work independently, basic mathematical and accounting skills, and familiarity with accounts payable processes, purchase orders, and expense reporting.
