The Tone:
This is a full-time role at Collins Aerospace, located in Marlborough, MA. Collins Aerospace, an RTX company, is a leader in technologically advanced and intelligent solutions for the global aerospace and defense industry. The company develops advanced communication systems, ground and flight computers, sensors, cyber, and software solutions for Mission Systems. This role is crucial for creating creative and cost-effective solutions for our ground and airborne systems within the Strategic Communications team, supporting a variety of communication systems including SATCOM and Line-of-Site Radio Terminals.

• Mission: This person will oversee the development of full lifecycle solutions from CONOPS to Validation for ground and airborne communication systems.

What You’ll Actually Do
• Oversee: Oversee the development of full lifecycle solutions from CONOPS to Validation.
• Act: Act as a Subject Matter Expert within the discipline with advanced to expert knowledge of the work area.
• Manage: Manage the entrance and exit criteria of Design Reviews, Integration, Dry Run, and Formal Qualification Testing.
• Support: Support system trade studies, requirements analysis, and allocation to subsystems.
• Perform: Oversee and perform lab activities including definition, setup, configuration management, and testing.

The Must-Haves
• Background: Requires a degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) and a minimum of 8 years prior relevant experience, or an Advanced Degree in a related field and a minimum of 5 years of experience. U.S. citizenship is required, along with the ability to obtain and maintain an active U.S. government issued Secret security clearance after day one.
• Experience: Strong integration and test experience including test procedure development, test execution, test reporting, and test automation. Knowledge of or application of Earned Value Management System (EVMS).
• Skills: Proficient in tooling including Microsoft products, or tasking boards such as Jira, or IBM EWM.
• Bonus: Experience in Communication Radio and Systems (SATCOM, LOS/BLOS, AEHF, PTW, or V/UHF), Environmental Qualification Testing (EQT), tooling including CAMEO or Rhapsody, proposal support (including writing Basis of Estimates – BOEs), System Level Integration, Verification, and Validation (IV&V) for ground based, ship, submarine, or airborne platforms, Virtual Machine design and deployment, and excellent communication skills.
