Director, Compensation | Dish Network

The Tone:
This is a full-time role at Dish Network, operating under the EchoStar umbrella, located in Englewood, CO. EchoStar is dedicated to reimagining connectivity, offering satellite television, live-streaming, on-demand programming, smart home services, and mobile plans through brands like Boost Mobile and Sling TV. The Director of Compensation is crucial for designing, executing, and optimizing enterprise-wide compensation programs, ensuring they are scalable, compliant, and aligned with business objectives.

The TL;DR
• Role: Full Time
• Location: In-person, Englewood, CO
• Pay: $185000–$225000 yearly
• Team: Reports to the VP of Total Rewards and leads compensation team members.
• Mission: Owns the design, execution, and ongoing optimization of EchoStar’s compensation programs across the enterprise.

What You’ll Actually Do
• Design Programs: Design and maintain broad-based and incentive compensation programs aligned to enterprise strategy and market competitiveness.
• Manage Job Architecture: Lead job architecture, leveling, and career framework governance across business units.
• Oversee Market Pricing: Own enterprise market pricing, benchmarking, and salary structure design.
• Ensure Compliance: Ensure compliance with wage-and-hour, pay equity, and regulatory requirements.
• Develop Compensation Models: Build compensation models to assess the cost, risk, and ROI of pay decisions.

The Must-Haves
• Background: Director-level compensation professional with extensive progressive experience in medium-to-large organizations.
• Experience: 10+ years of progressive compensation experience, demonstrated ownership of enterprise compensation programs, job architecture, and market pricing, along with experience partnering with Finance and HR leadership and supporting executive or sales compensation programs.
• Skills: Strong compensation analytics, modeling, and data storytelling capability.
• Bonus: Exposure to public-company or regulated environments, or large, multi-business or matrixed organization experience.
