The Tone:

This Accountant position is crucial for maintaining the company’s financial integrity and efficiency, directly contributing to successful project delivery by ensuring accurate financial management and insightful reporting. What You’ll Actually Do
• Manage Daily Operations: Oversee all day-to-day accounting operations, including diligent handling of accounts payable, accounts receivable, and precise general ledger entries.
• Ensure Financial Accuracy: Execute thorough bank and account reconciliations and manage all month-end closing activities to maintain complete and accurate financial records.
• Provide Financial Insights: Prepare comprehensive financial reports, actively support budgeting and forecasting processes, and help analyze financial data to inform strategic decision-making.
• Support Compliance and Audits: Maintain meticulous records for specific projects and company-wide expenses, ensure full compliance with internal company policies, and support external audits and tax preparation efforts.
• Enhance Processes: Work collaboratively with project managers and leadership to offer valuable financial insights and actively contribute to the improvement of accounting processes and systems for enhanced accuracy and operational efficiency.

The Must-Haves
• Background: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field, demonstrating a foundational understanding of core accounting principles and financial management.
• Experience: Proven proficiency in essential accounting functions, including accounts payable/receivable, general ledger management, and reconciliations; experience in preparing financial statements, supporting budgeting and forecasting, and analyzing financial data for decision-making.
• Skills: Strong command of accounting software such as QuickBooks or similar platforms, advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, along with effective communication, collaboration, organizational skills, and a keen attention to detail.
• Bonus: Professional certification like a CPA or equivalent, or valuable prior experience within the construction, site development, or a project-based business environment.
