Intern, Product Management Innovations & Partnerships – Fall 2026 | BMW Group

The Tone:
This is a full-time internship at BMW Group, located in Mountain View, CA, within the heart of Silicon Valley. The BMW Group is a global leader in premium automobiles and motorcycles, driving innovation through its Technology Office. This role is crucial for developing and implementing new product and business strategies, focusing on innovations and partnerships that bridge cutting-edge technology with the automotive industry. The intern will play a key part in identifying opportunities, fostering external relationships, and shaping the future direction of BMW products and services.

What You’ll Actually Do
• Partnership Development: Create new product and business opportunities for the BMW Group by collaborating with internal and external stakeholders.
• Relationship Management: Maintain close working relationships with Silicon Valley technology companies and other partners to achieve mutual business objectives.
• Product Innovation: Devise innovative business models and new products in collaboration with marketing, engineering, sales, and UX/design teams.
• Event Support: Support the preparation, facilitation, and execution of the BMW Group Tech Office Tour during CES.

The Must-Haves
• Background: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree student currently enrolled at an accredited college or university. Candidates must have completed at least 60 college credit hours by the time of application and maintain a minimum cumulative GPA of 3.0. Preferred fields of study include Business Administration, Economics, Business IT / Engineering, Marketing, or Data and Business Analytics.
• Experience: This is an entry-level internship requiring no prior professional experience, focusing instead on academic preparation and skill development. US Work Authorization is required to be eligible for this position.
• Skills: Expert knowledge of Microsoft PowerPoint and Excel is essential. Candidates must demonstrate business fluent English or German language capabilities. Strong analytical capabilities, excellent communication, presentation, organizational, and planning skills are also required. The ability to manage sensitive and confidential information, work collaboratively in a team, and drive independent workstreams within a broader project context is critical for success.
