Management & Sales Training Program | Sherwin-Williams

The Tone:
This is an accelerated, entry-level, in-person position at Sherwin-Williams, located in various store locations. Sherwin-Williams inspires and improves the world by coloring and protecting what matters, offering paints, coatings, and innovative solutions. This program is designed to develop future Store Managers, enabling them to lead million-dollar businesses, drive market share growth, and ensure customer success within the company’s promote-from-within philosophy.

• Team: Store team, reporting to the Store Manager
• Mission: Prepare individuals for a Store Management role by overseeing business operations, growing market share, and ensuring high customer satisfaction.

What You’ll Actually Do
• Lead Business Strategy: Collaborate with store management to provide leadership and insight into the development and strategy of a million-dollar business.
• Drive Market Share: Grow the company’s market share by selling high-quality products to large, commercial users such as contractors and manufacturers.
• Ensure Customer Satisfaction: Maintain high levels of customer satisfaction through excellent service and build positive relationships with both wholesale and retail customers.
• Master Store Operations: Learn all store operations, client relations, and internal strategy to understand your significant part in team success.
• Support Team Development: Assist with employee training, development, performance management, and corrective actions within the store team.

The Must-Haves
• Background: Entry-level professional with a Bachelor’s degree by the start of the program.
• Experience: Entry-level career path.
• Skills: Customer service, sales, marketing, finance, operations, and leadership development.
• Bonus: At least one year of experience in a retail, sales, or customer service position; one year in a leadership role supervising others or leading teams; previous experience in a team-oriented setting; experience selling paint and related products; experience using timekeeping or customer relationship management (CRM) systems; willingness to relocate for future job opportunities; or ability to read, write, comprehend, and communicate in more than one language, especially Spanish.
