Social Media Marketing Intern – TikTok & Instagram | Rosterhunter
The Tone:
This is an internship at Rosterhunter, located in the Tampa Bay area. Rosterhunter is a recruiting platform dedicated to helping U.S. high school athletes identify genuine roster openings and establish direct connections with college coaches. This role is pivotal for establishing and cultivating the company’s social media presence from its inception, directly influencing its ability to reach, engage, and inform its target audience of athletes and coaches.

• Pay: $500 monthly
• Mission: Own the strategy and execution of Rosterhunter’s social media presence on TikTok and Instagram, connecting high school athletes with college opportunities.

What You’ll Actually Do
• TikTok Launch: Independently launch and cultivate Rosterhunter’s TikTok presence, encompassing all aspects of filming, editing, and posting engaging short-form video content from scratch.
• Instagram Management: Fully manage Rosterhunter’s Instagram profile, including the creation and posting of feed updates, interactive Stories, and Reels.
• Content Planning: Develop and maintain a straightforward content calendar to ensure consistent and timely posting across all designated social media channels.
• Community Interaction: Actively engage with comments and direct messages received on social platforms, and participate proactively within the broader high school and college sports and recruiting online communities.
The Must-Haves
• Background: Entry-Level. Must be a currently enrolled college student based in the Tampa Bay area.
• Experience: Demonstrated comfort with independently filming and editing short-form video; an active user on TikTok and/or Instagram with a strong intuitive understanding of what content performs well. Must be self-directed and capable of planning and executing a content calendar with minimal oversight and light check-ins.
• Skills: Content creation (filming, editing short-form video), social media platform management (TikTok, Instagram), content calendar planning, digital community engagement, understanding of social media trends and performance.
• Bonus: Familiarity with high school or college sports is considered a plus, though not a mandatory requirement for the role.
