What You’ll Actually Do
• Client Coordination: Dedicate time to client service by coordinating work for multiple clients, including various virtual and on-site outsourced accounting services.
• Accounts Payable & Payroll: Process accounts payable utilizing Bill.com and coordinate payroll services with third-party providers.
• Financial Reporting: Assist with monthly management reports and financial statements, as well as monthly and year-end trial balance closing assistance.
• Account Reconciliation & Depreciation: Perform bank and credit card account reconciliations and prepare depreciation schedules.
• System Implementation: Support accounting system design and implementation of cloud-based platforms like QuickBooks Online and Sage Intacct, along with various software application implementation projects.
The Must-Haves
• Background: Working toward a bachelor’s or master’s degree in accounting from an accredited college or university, with a minimum cumulative overall GPA of 3.0, and progressing towards CPA licensure eligibility. Applicants must be legally authorized to work in the United States for this entry-level internship position.
• Experience: No specific prior professional experience required; ability to commit to at least 20-25 hours per week during normal business hours (Monday-Friday, 8 am-5 pm) while accommodating a school schedule. Must possess reliable transportation to the assigned office and for off-site meetings or events.
• Skills: Strong initiative and problem-solving abilities, a commitment to providing unmatched client experiences, excellent verbal and written communication skills, proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, and the ability to prioritize work for multiple clients to consistently meet deadlines.
