What You’ll Actually Do
• Production Scheduling: Assist in creating and maintaining production schedules for optics manufacturing based on demand forecasts, customer orders, and inventory levels.
• Material Coordination: Track and manage the availability of raw materials, components, and sub-assemblies required for optics production, working with procurement and warehouse teams to prevent delays.
• Workflow Management: Monitor production progress on the shop floor, identify bottlenecks, and communicate with relevant teams to optimize throughput.
• Data Management and Reporting: Maintain accurate production data, including order status, inventory levels, and production metrics, and prepare daily/weekly reports for management review.
• Quality and Compliance Support: Collaborate with quality control teams to ensure production complies with specifications and regulatory standards, assisting in implementing corrective actions for production issues.

The Must-Haves
• Background: High school diploma or GED.
• Experience: Experience with production scheduling, inventory management, and ERP/MRP systems.
• Skills: Strong organizational skills, effective communication, proficient problem-solving abilities, and proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
• Bonus: Basic knowledge of optics manufacturing processes and terminology.
