What You’ll Actually Do
• Observation & Learning: Shadow assigned employees and management across departments to gain familiarity with company processes and procedures.
• Practical Application: Perform assigned duties within various operational areas to gain hands-on experience, including yard operations, millwork, production, dispatch/scheduling/delivery, safety, sales, finance, and human resources.
• Professional Development: Actively participate in and complete assigned training programs to enhance skills and knowledge.
• Strategic Input: Contribute to the development of operating budgets and capital expenditure recommendations aimed at achieving operational and financial goals.
The Must-Haves
• Background: Bachelor’s Degree in a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and experience. This is an entry-level operations management position.
• Experience: Company training will be provided to support career growth and development within the role.
• Skills: Strong customer service skills for both face-to-face and telephone interactions, good mathematical aptitude, effective verbal and written communication skills, interpersonal skills (including tact and influencing internal and external contacts), and strong computer aptitude with Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel) and ERP applications.
• Bonus: Previous selling experience is helpful.
