GM Accelerated Trainee | Republic Services

The Tone:
This is a full-time, two-year leadership development initiative at Republic Services, a leader in the environmental services industry. This program is designed to cultivate the next generation of General Managers, empowering future leaders to shape the business and make a lasting difference in their communities. The TL;DR
• Role: Full Time
• Type: Full-time
• Location: In-person, rotational assignments with required relocation post-program
• Pay: $109800–$151050 yearly
• Mission: Cultivate the next generation of General Managers through leadership development and comprehensive business understanding.

What You’ll Actually Do
• Rotations: Participate in rotational work assignments across core business functions including Operations, Sales, Marketing, Human Resources, and Finance.
• Strategy: Collaborate with senior leaders and cross-functional teams to drive strategic initiatives and operational excellence.
• Analysis: Analyze business performance metrics such as sales, gross profit, and inventory to support data-driven decision-making.
• Development: Contribute to the recruitment, training, and development of team members.
• Learning: Engage in formal training sessions, leadership workshops, and project-based learning.

The Must-Haves
• Background: Master’s Degree (MBA completed or expected within 12 months). Manager-level leadership experience.
• Experience: 3–5 years of demonstrated leadership experience. Prior operational experience is desired.
• Skills: Strong communication and interpersonal skills, proven ability to prioritize, multitask, and make sound decisions. Foundational understanding of business finance, operations, and performance metrics.
• Bonus: Willingness to work in various business units within the area for rotational assignments and willingness to relocate for post program placement.
