Student Trainee (Management Analysis) | Defense Information Systems Agency
The Tone:
This is a Student Trainee internship position at the Defense Information Systems Agency (DISA), located in DISA DKASAA-PC12. DISA is a critical organization tasked with carrying out and supporting the mission of the US Cyber Command. This role is essential for assessing and improving the efficiency of the Federal government’s administrative and management programs. As a Student Trainee, you will contribute to upholding the rule of law and the United States Constitution by supporting vital governmental functions.

• Mission: To analyze administrative and management processes, gather data, and develop solutions to improve the efficiency and effectiveness of agency operations.
What You’ll Actually Do
• Assignment Performance: Perform a variety of assignments within the Management Analysis field, addressing different and unrelated situations, processes, and methods.
• Regulatory Study: Study pertinent regulations and manuals to become familiar with the agency’s mission, technical responsibilities, and relevant programs.
• Guidance Provision: Provide advice and guidance on the interpretation and application of new administrative and/or program management directives and instructions to assess their impact on existing operations.
• Program Evaluation: Conduct evaluations and assessments of various administrative and management programs to identify areas for improvement.
• Problem Solving: Gather data, conduct studies, and perform analysis to develop solutions for administrative problems across a wide variety of functions and work processes for the area or program studied.
The Must-Haves
• Background: Must be a U.S. Citizen and at least 16 years of age. Qualify based on educational achievements with a minimum cumulative GPA of 2.50. Requires current enrollment in a program leading to a bachelor’s degree with specialization in or directly related to Management Analysis.
• Experience:
• For GG-04: Completion of 2 full academic years of post-high school study or an associate’s degree.
• For GG-05: Completion of 4 academic years of post-high school study leading to a bachelor’s degree or equivalent.
• For GG-07: Completion of 1 full academic year of graduate-level education; or eligibility under the Superior Academic Achievement Provision and completion of a bachelor’s degree.
• Skills: Ability to perform management analysis, interpret regulations, provide administrative guidance, conduct evaluations, gather data, and perform analytical studies.
