Search Consultant (Entry Level / Graduate) | Thurn Partners

The Tone:
This is a full-time, hybrid role at Thurn Partners, based in Miami, FL, with a target start date of September 15th, 2026. Thurn Partners is a specialist search and advisory firm operating exclusively across the alternative investment ecosystem, working with hedge funds, proprietary trading firms, and asset managers across North America, the UK, and Europe. This role is a sales position focused on leveraging intelligence, research, and trusted relationships to place investment, research, and technology professionals where hiring decisions directly influence performance and capital outcomes. It’s for individuals who want to build something real and earn in line with what they produce, combining rigorous research with direct human engagement and well-built systems.

What You’ll Actually Do
• Market Mapping: Run structured market mapping for active mandates, building intelligence on firms and individuals using proprietary systems, data tools, and direct research.
• Candidate Engagement: Identify and engage high-calibre professionals across North America who are not actively looking through precise, well-crafted outreach or direct calls.
• Candidate Qualification: Qualify candidates through structured conversations, rigorously assessing their fit, motivation, and suitability against client briefs.
• Market Expertise: Develop genuine depth across coverage areas, understanding how firms are structured, strategies generate returns, and what drives career decisions for target professionals.
• Revenue Generation & Relationship Building: Convert market intelligence and professional relationships into revenue by closing searches, while building long-term networks that compound over time.

The Must-Haves
• Background: Entry-Level professional with any degree discipline, demonstrating intellectual curiosity to understand complex financial markets.
• Experience: 3 to 12 months of work experience (internships and part-time roles count), along with evidence of leadership or standout performance outside of academics.
• Skills:
• Exceptional written and verbal English skills, non-negotiable for crafting precise outreach and engaging senior professionals.
• Intellectual curiosity to understand how things work in complex financial markets, connecting dots to form insights and build market expertise.
• Strong social intelligence to quickly build rapport, listen properly, understand underlying motivations, and navigate professional conversations effectively.
• Commercially driven to win and achieve outcomes, combined with high personal standards and self-accountability without requiring close management.
