Community Associate | Common Desk
The Tone:
This is a full-time role at Common Desk, located in Austin, TX. This role is crucial for fostering a welcoming environment, ensuring members receive exceptional service, and helping people enjoy showing up to the office to do what they do best every day. • Mission: Own the hospitality initiatives to create a sense of belonging and enhance every member’s workday.

What You’ll Actually Do
• Community Engagement: Build a welcoming community amongst Common Desk members by planning and hosting events and facilitating intentional daily interactions.
• Front Desk Operations: Serve as a primary on-site point of contact, greeting members and guests warmly and managing the front desk during business hours.
• Member Relations: Anticipate and address member and guest needs, personalize their experience, and conduct new member orientations.
• Space Maintenance: Ensure the physical space is well-maintained, clean, organized, and that all building operations run efficiently.
• Hospitality Services: Man the location’s Fiction Coffee outpost (if applicable), prepare coffee for guests, and assist with tours and amenity activation.
The Must-Haves
• Background: Entry-Level. College graduate preferred, but not required; customer service and/or sales experience is a plus.
• Experience: Proficient in basic computer skills; prior customer service and/or sales experience is beneficial.
• Skills: Strong verbal and written communication, outstanding interpersonal and multitasking skills, demonstrate integrity, dependability, responsibility, accountability, self-awareness, work ethic, and compassion.
• Bonus: Passion for entrepreneurial communities.
