Internal Audit Summer Analyst | Citi

The Tone:
This is a summer internship at Citi, located in Irving, TX. Citi’s Internal Audit division provides independent assessments of the company’s governance, risk management, and internal control environment for key stakeholders globally. This role is crucial for enhancing Citi’s control culture worldwide, supporting senior management decision-making, and maintaining the company’s operational integrity. The program is designed to equip participants with the knowledge and training needed to play a valuable role and establish a long-term career path.

What You’ll Actually Do
• Participate in Training: Begin the 10-week program with a 3-day training providing an overview of Citi and its Internal Audit Organization.
• Contribute to Assurance: Face off into Citi’s core businesses or global functions to help ensure a sound control framework and environment is in place.
• Execute Real-World Work: Perform daily tasks and add value to assigned teams, gaining cross-functional exposure during the internship.
• Engage with Mentors: Collaborate with Senior and Junior Mentors, participate in networking opportunities, and attend Senior Speaker Events.
• Present Findings: Conclude the program by presenting accomplishments and lessons learned to the Senior Internal Audit Management team.

The Must-Haves
• Background: Bachelor’s degree, graduating between December 2027 and June 2028. This is an entry-level position.
• Experience: No specific prior work experience is required, but a finance education or related experience is considered a plus.
• Skills: Strong analytical capabilities, excellent oral and written communication skills, cooperation and focus in achieving objectives, quick thinking, detail orientation, intellectual curiosity, and the ability to multi-task.
• Bonus: A preferred GPA of at least 3.3. Candidates should not require sponsorship for U.S. work authorization now or in the future.
