Accounting Specialist | Torentify

This Accounting Specialist position is vital for supporting the company’s daily accounting operations, with a core focus on managing Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, various reconciliations, cash applications, and vendor communications to ensure precise financial record-keeping and smooth processes.

• Mission: Support day-to-day accounting operations by managing Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, reconciliations, cash applications, and vendor communication to ensure accuracy.

What You’ll Actually Do
• Accounts Payable: Complete AP reconciliations to resolve discrepancies with vendors and prepare vendor payments according to company procedures.
• Accounts Receivable: Verify and categorize AR invoice dates while processing customer cash applications accurately and timely.
• Financial Reconciliations: Perform AR reconciliations by comparing internal accounting records with third-party logistics (3PL) statements.
• Vendor Communication: Coordinate aging reports and actively communicate with vendors regarding outstanding balances and to resolve any accounting issues.
• Record Management: Maintain accurate financial records and ensure all supporting documentation is properly filed and accessible.
The Must-Haves
• Background: Entry-Level professional ready to support core accounting operations, specifically with previous experience in Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR).
• Experience: Demonstrated previous experience managing both Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR) functions.
• Skills: Strong command of written and verbal communication, excellent customer service abilities for engaging with vendors and internal teams, keen attention to detail, strong organizational skills, and tech-savvy with the ability to efficiently learn and utilize accounting software in a remote environment.
• Bonus: Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including functions like IF, VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP, and Pivot Tables; practical experience performing financial reconciliations; and familiarity with working alongside third-party logistics (3PL) statements.
