Full Charge Bookkeeper | Luxium Solutions
The Tone:

Luxium Solutions is an organization dedicated to providing essential support to farmers, handling critical financial operations such as managing rental accounts and various bookkeeping tasks. The Full Charge Bookkeeper will play a central role in supporting the organization’s mission and its beneficiaries by managing daily accounting duties with precision and professionalism.

What You’ll Actually Do
• Payroll Management: Process payroll twice monthly at the close of pay periods (5th and 20th), including preparing, recording, and distributing paychecks, and ensuring timely state and federal payroll tax deposits and reports.
• Accounts Management: Perform monthly billing for an average of 50 rental accounts and related fees, issue checks for bills and employee reimbursements, and ensure all expenditures are appropriately categorized.
• Financial Reconciliation: Reconcile bank accounts, pay monthly health insurance bills and reconcile them with payroll, along with paying quarterly workers’ compensation.
• Record Keeping: Proactively maintain a highly organized filing system for invoices, payroll paperwork, reimbursements, insurance information, and other financial records.
• Grant Support: Perform grant billing and management duties, and assist in the development and implementation of systems and procedures as needed.
The Must-Haves
• Background: Associate’s degree (AA/AS) or equivalent, or an equivalent combination of education and experience, demonstrating a strong foundation in bookkeeping and accounting principles.
• Experience: Three to five years of related experience in bookkeeping and accounting, with a preference for five years within related programs.
• Skills: Advanced proficiency in QuickBooks online, encompassing all aspects of its functionality for financial management. Possesses excellent verbal and written communication skills, essential for interacting with diverse individuals and handling confidential matters with tact and professionalism. Demonstrates strong organizational, problem-solving, and analytical skills, alongside robust mathematical abilities, crucial for managing priorities, workflows, and making sound, timely decisions. Proficiency also required in Windows and Macintosh operating systems, Microsoft Office 2014, Excel, Google Docs, and Internet Explorer/Firefox.
• Bonus: Experience in the nonprofit sector.
