Full Charge Bookkeeper | The Naxon Group
The Tone:
This is a full-time role at The Naxon Group, located in Visalia, CA. The Naxon Group is a hospitality company that creates guest experiences through restaurants, event venues, catering, and hospitality services across Central California. This role is crucial for overseeing the daily accounting operations for multiple brands, ensuring financial accuracy, and supporting the expanding organization’s financial health. The Full Charge Bookkeeper will play a key part in maintaining the financial integrity and strategic growth of the company.

• Mission: This role ensures the accurate and efficient financial management of multiple hospitality brands to support organizational growth.

What You’ll Actually Do
• Financial Oversight: Prepare accurate monthly financial statements and reports, maintain the general ledger, and complete daily general ledger entries for multiple bank accounts.
• Transaction Management: Process payroll, accounts payable, and accounts receivable, ensuring timely payments, accurate recordkeeping, and managing fixed asset tracking.
• Reconciliation & Compliance: Monitor cash flow and account balances, investigate and resolve discrepancies, reconcile payroll reports, and maintain accurate financial records.
• Reporting & Analysis: Prepare monthly financial reporting packages, assist with budgeting and forecasting, analyze financial performance, and provide operational managers with financial insights.
• Process Improvement: Recommend improvements to accounting procedures, maintain strong internal controls, assist with software implementation, and support audits and compliance initiatives.
The Must-Haves
• Background: Individuals with a strong understanding of accounting principles and financial reporting.
• Experience: Minimum 5 years of full charge bookkeeping or accounting experience, including managing the full accounting cycle and payroll administration.
• Skills: Advanced Microsoft Excel proficiency, experience using QuickBooks Online, exceptional organizational and time management skills, and excellent communication and problem-solving abilities.
• Bonus: Associate or bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business; hospitality, restaurant, catering, hotel, or event venue accounting experience; QuickBooks Certified ProAdvisor or Certified Bookkeeper (AIPB); multi-entity accounting experience; experience with Toast, Square, Triplseseat, or Ramp software.
