General Manager – Cheaha State Park | Guest Services, Inc.
The Tone:
This is a full-time role at Guest Services, Inc., located at Cheaha State Park. Founded in 1917, Guest Services has established itself as a premier hospitality management company and National Park Service concessionaire, providing best-in-class services across various client sites including state and national parks, resorts, and dining facilities. The General Manager is crucial for overseeing all aspects of the park’s operations, including lodging, event spaces, and food & beverage, ensuring the fulfillment of financial goals and company initiatives while cultivating an environment of exceptional customer service.

• Mission: Owns the successful operation and financial performance of Cheaha State Park’s hospitality services, ensuring exceptional customer experience.

What You’ll Actually Do
• Operations Management: Plan, develop, and direct daily unit operations, including forecasting and analyzing sales, labor, and profit to ensure compliance with established budgets.
• Team Leadership: Recruit, supervise, train, schedule, discipline, review, and direct the unit’s management and staff to maintain high performance and accountability.
• Financial Accountability: Manage accounting records, daily reporting requirements, and cash control, taking full responsibility for the unit’s P&L statement.
• Stakeholder Relations: Act as the company’s primary point of contact with the client, professionally representing Guest Services and resolving customer inquiries and complaints.
• Facility Oversight: Maintain a safe facility environment, ensuring adherence to standards for maintenance, equipment upkeep, housekeeping, sanitation, and employee hygiene.
The Must-Haves
• Background: Manager-level professional with a High School Diploma/GED; a Bachelor’s, Hospitality, or Business Degree is preferred. Requires core domain knowledge in hospitality management, particularly lodging and food & beverage operations.
• Experience: At least 3 years of related management experience, with demonstrated proficiency in using MS Word, Excel, and Outlook.
• Skills: Strong customer service abilities, a talent for interacting effectively with a wide variety of people, ability to organize and coordinate multiple priorities, and effective problem-solving skills.
• Bonus: Bachelor’s, Hospitality, or Business Degree is preferred. Relocation reimbursement is available, and the salary may be negotiable commensurate with experience.
