Bookkeeping Advisor | Anderson Business Advisors
The Tone:
This is a full-time hybrid role at Anderson Business Advisors, an award-winning workplace serving investors and small business owners nationally since 1999. In this position, you will play a pivotal role in delivering high-quality bookkeeping services and ensuring accurate, timely financial records for multiple clients. You will be instrumental in reviewing transaction categorization, providing guidance to internal teams, and fostering strong client relationships through proactive communication and consultation. Your work will directly empower clients to manage their finances effectively and make informed business decisions.

What You’ll Actually Do
• Client Onboarding: Onboard new clients by reviewing their entities and business needs, and setting clear expectations for services.
• Client Engagement: Conduct monthly check-ins and lead consultation meetings with clients to gather documentation, address financial inquiries, and understand evolving business requirements.
• Transaction Review: Review client transactions to ensure accurate categorization and coding that meets accounting standards and client needs.
• Financial Reporting: Generate and interpret key financial reports, including profit and loss statements, balance sheets, general ledgers, and customized client reports.
• Record Maintenance: Address past bookkeeping issues and inconsistencies to bring client books up to date, while maintaining accurate bookkeeping records for various client companies.
The Must-Haves
• Background: Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or a related field with general accounting knowledge, including understanding of debits and credits.
• Experience: Minimum 2 years of experience with QuickBooks (Desktop and Online preferred), experience managing at least 15 client accounts concurrently, and experience communicating company financials with clients.
• Skills: Moderate knowledge of Excel, excellent time management skills, and a high degree of accuracy and attention to detail.
• Bonus: Previous experience working in a consulting firm or a related field.
