What You’ll Actually Do
• Team Leadership: Learn to recruit, hire, develop, evaluate, and retain efficient team members, fostering a welcoming, diverse, and inclusive store environment.
• Customer Experience: Master the GURA process (Greet, Uncover Needs, Recommend Solutions, Ask to Add Value & Appreciate) to deliver legendary customer service that differentiates from competitors.
• Store Operations & Merchandising: Develop skills to schedule, organize, and plan daily activities for team members, manage merchandise flow, implement presentation standards, and organize merchandise resets per company specifications.
• Financial Management: Understand how to achieve sales and profit targets, including learning periodic sales forecasting, payroll analysis, budget review, and auditing store processes.
• Inventory & Administration: Train on managing periodic price changes, communicating inventory needs to buyers and distribution centers, solving inventory problems, and processing required paperwork such as invoices, schedules, and product orders.

The Must-Haves
• Background: Manager Trainee level. Requires a high school diploma. Prior retail experience and/or knowledge in farming, ranching, pet/equine, or welding is strongly preferred.
• Experience: Must be at least 18 years of age. Possess a valid driver’s license. Supervisory experience is preferred.
• Skills: Ability to process information and merchandise through system and POS Register; accurately read, write, and count for documentation; operate all necessary store equipment including dolly, hand-truck, forklift, computer, and cash register; move and transfer merchandise weighing 0-50 lbs throughout the store; work varied hours, days, nights, and weekends as business dictates, including a minimum of 52 hours per week and six days during peak seasons, with prolonged standing and walking for up to four hours straight; travel to other locations.
• Bonus: Bachelor’s degree in an Agricultural-Science or Business-related field.
