Programme Manager, Data Modernisation | Money-Media

• Mission: To lead the successful delivery of complex, strategic programmes supporting the FT’s data modernisation ambitions and wider technology transformation.
What You’ll Actually Do
• Lead Programmes: Direct complex, multi-year technology and business transformation programmes from initiation through delivery and implementation.
• Maintain Governance: Develop and sustain effective programme governance, ensuring proactive management of risks, dependencies, timelines, and decisions.
• Build Relationships: Establish strong relationships with Product, Technology, Data, and business stakeholders to facilitate the delivery of strategic outcomes.
• Tailor Approaches: Adapt Agile, Lean, traditional, or hybrid delivery methodologies to effectively suit specific programme and team requirements.
• Develop Capability: Provide coaching, mentoring, and practical support to Delivery Managers, actively building capability across the Portfolio discipline.
The Must-Haves
• Background: Significant experience as a Principal Programme Manager, leading large-scale, complex transformation programmes within technology or digital environments.
• Experience: Proven track record delivering enterprise-wide programmes involving multiple workstreams, third-party suppliers, and cross-functional teams, coupled with strong commercial awareness and experience managing large programme budgets to deliver measurable business value.
• Skills: Excellent programme planning, governance, dependency management, and risk management skills; outstanding stakeholder management including engaging senior executives; strong vendor and supplier management; excellent communication, influencing, and leadership skills.
• Bonus: Experience leading data modernisation, enterprise technology, or digital transformation programmes; experience developing programme management frameworks or centres of excellence; familiarity with modern product delivery practices and portfolio management environments; experience within media, publishing, subscription, or technology-led organisations.
