Director, Enablement & Engagement | Greystar
The Tone:
This is a full-time role at Greystar, based remotely in the United States. Greystar is a leading, fully integrated global real estate platform providing property management, investment management, development, and construction services for institutional-quality rental housing. This Director position is crucial for Greystar Management Services, leading the strategic development and execution of enterprise-wide communication, enablement, engagement, and change management initiatives. The role directly impacts operational excellence, team member engagement, and overall organizational effectiveness across a large, complex organization.

• Mission: Owns the strategy and execution of enterprise-wide communication, enablement, engagement, and change management to drive operational excellence and team member effectiveness for GMS.

What You’ll Actually Do
• Strategic Communication Leadership: Develop and execute enterprise-wide communication strategies and governance for GMS, advising senior leadership on communication approaches, change impacts, stakeholder engagement, and adoption.
• Organizational Change & Transformation Leadership: Lead enablement and change-management strategies for major business initiatives and transformations, designing and implementing frameworks to improve adoption and accelerate business outcomes.
• Enablement & Learning Strategy: Establish the vision and strategy for operational enablement and learning programs, overseeing the development of scalable training, implementation resources, and performance support tools.
• Team Member Engagement & Experience: Lead initiatives that strengthen team member engagement, connection, and understanding of business priorities across USPM, developing strategies that support organizational culture and reinforce company values.
• Program Governance & Performance Measurement: Establish success metrics, reporting frameworks, and key performance indicators to evaluate communication effectiveness, engagement, learning outcomes, and change adoption, leveraging data for continuous improvement.
The Must-Haves
• Background: Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university in Communications, Public Relations, Journalism, Instructional Design, or related fields, with a focus on internal communications, enablement, learning & development, or organizational change.
• Experience: 10+ years of progressive experience in internal communications, enablement, learning & development, or organizational change, particularly in support of initiative-based rollouts, plus 5+ years of leadership experience managing teams, enterprise programs, and large-scale business initiatives.
• Skills: Exceptional written, verbal, presentation, facilitation, and executive communication skills; proven ability to influence senior leadership and build alignment across multiple stakeholder groups; strong business acumen with the ability to connect communication and enablement strategies to operational and organizational objectives; experience developing strategic frameworks, governance models, and measurement methodologies.
• Bonus: Experience utilizing communication, collaboration, and project management platforms including Microsoft 365, SharePoint, Staffbase, and Asana; familiarity with instructional design methodologies, adult learning principles, and change management frameworks; strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities with experience leveraging metrics and insights to drive decision-making.
