The Tone:
This is a part-time, early career opportunity at Kaufman Dolowich, a full-service National Law firm with over 250 attorneys across 16 offices and 25 practice areas. The firm is seeking a motivated, tech-curious individual to actively support its firm-wide AI initiative. This role is crucial for integrating new AI tools and workflows into the firm’s operations, working directly with the Chief Information Officer and other leadership. It offers a hands-on chance to build practical AI experience within a professional services environment.

• Mission: To support the firm’s comprehensive AI initiative by assisting with adoption, development, and research of AI solutions.

What You’ll Actually Do
• Support the firm’s efforts to adopt and provide training for Microsoft 365 Copilot to over 400 users.
• Build, test, and thoroughly document AI agent workflows and prompt templates across various platforms, including Copilot Studio, Azure AI Foundry, Power Automate, and LLMs like ChatGPT and Claude.
• Assist in researching new AI tools, vendors, and capabilities specifically relevant to legal services, including the evaluation and comparison of different LLM providers.
• Help develop proofs of concept and pilot new AI solutions for both attorneys and business professionals within the firm.
• Contribute to researching AI governance, security, privacy, and compliance considerations as the firm expands its use of AI technologies.

The Must-Haves
• Background: Entry-Level. Currently pursuing or recently completed a degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Business, or a related field. No prior professional experience is required.
• Experience: Demonstrated genuine interest in AI/LLM tools such as ChatGPT, Microsoft Copilot, Claude, or Azure AI Foundry, which can be evidenced through coursework, personal projects, or self-directed learning.
• Skills: Ability to quickly learn new software, strong written communication skills for creating clear instructions and documentation, detail-oriented and organized approach to manage small projects with light supervision, and a high level of professionalism with respect for data privacy and security.
