The Tone:
This is a full-time, exempt role at Morningside House Senior Living, located in Sarasota, FL. This role is crucial for coordinating all maintenance, laundry, and housekeeping functions to ensure a safe, pleasant, and compliant environment for the residents and staff. It ensures that all necessary services are efficiently managed and executed.

• Team: Reports to the Executive Director, supervising laundry, housekeeping, and maintenance staff.
• Mission: Ensures all corrective and preventative maintenance, laundry, and housekeeping operations provide a safe and pleasant environment for residents while maintaining regulatory compliance.

What You’ll Actually Do
• Operations Management: Directly oversee the daily operations of the laundry, housekeeping, and maintenance departments, ensuring efficiency and effectiveness.
• Regulatory Compliance: Maintain compliance with local, state, and OSHA requirements pertinent to housekeeping, laundry, and maintenance, conducting and reporting on safety inspections.
• Program Implementation: Implement and document comprehensive preventative and corrective maintenance programs across the facility.
• Budget and Inventory Control: Assist in planning and managing the budget for supplies, equipment, and repairs, maintaining appropriate on-site inventory within financial guidelines.
• Staff Leadership and Training: Supervise, evaluate, and provide ongoing education for laundry, housekeeping, and maintenance staff, including proper equipment and chemical usage.

The Must-Haves
• Background: An Associate’s Degree or equivalent from a two-year college or technical school; or two years of related experience and/or training, or an equivalent combination of education and applicable experience.
• Experience: Minimum of three (3) years in a supervisory or lead maintenance position, with proven knowledge in preventive and corrective maintenance.
• Skills: Computer knowledge, strong organizational, time management, problem-solving, and interpersonal skills, and the ability to function independently under pressure with multiple tasks.
• Bonus: Must be a strong team player and demonstrate flexibility in managing diverse functions and deadlines.
