What You’ll Actually Do
• Team Leadership: Enhance the performance of our accounting team and actively manage the workflow within the department.
• Financial Reporting: Perform schedule reviews, maintain financial schedules, and complete all necessary month-end close duties.
• Accounting Oversight: Support the Controller in completing annual accountant reviews and ensure a thorough understanding of the general ledger and financial statement submissions.
• Operational Support: Provide direct accounting support and guidance to accounting staff and other departments, including payroll review and submission when needed.
• Reconciliation & Analysis: Conduct reconciliations for franchise statements, dealer reserves, and inventories, alongside comprehensive data review and analysis.
The Must-Haves
• Background: Candidates must possess prior experience as a dealership accounting manager or hold a Bachelor of Science in Accounting. A thorough and practical understanding of core accounting principles is required to manage general ledger accounts effectively.
• Experience: Proven experience utilizing automotive Dealer Management Systems (DMS), specifically Reynolds, is essential. Demonstrated ability in general ledger reconciliation and managing balance sheet accounts is also required.
• Skills: Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, including Excel and Word, is necessary for daily tasks and analysis. The role demands strong problem-solving and analytical capabilities, along with the ability to effectively multi-task in a demanding environment while consistently maintaining accuracy and integrity.
