The Tone:
This is an early career position at Cone Health, a comprehensive healthcare organization dedicated to minimizing operational disruptions within its critical facilities. This role is fundamental to ensuring the continuous, smooth functioning of the hospital’s diverse building systems and essential equipment. The Mechanic directly contributes to the delivery of high-quality patient care and operational stability by adeptly performing crucial maintenance tasks and swiftly responding to corrective requests in a timely and efficient manner, thus supporting the entire hospital environment.

The TL;DR
• Role: Early Career
• Type: Full-time (40 hours per week, with a schedule of Saturday and Sunday nights plus two additional weekday shifts)
• Location: In-person

• Mission: To proactively resolve and anticipate building systems problems and minimize operational disruptions within the hospital environment through timely and effective service delivery.

What You’ll Actually Do
• Maintenance Execution: Proactively assist with the comprehensive testing and skilled repair of various building equipment and complex systems, ensuring operational reliability and promptly ordering necessary replacement parts to facilitate timely service delivery.
• Documentation & Reporting: Meticulously prepare accurate and thorough documentation of all work orders, detailed reports, and precise cost estimates, submitting them for management review in strict adherence to compliance guidelines.
• Safety & Cleanliness: Actively contribute to maintaining a meticulously clean and safe work area, diligently conducting equipment inspection rounds to verify the proper utilization of tools and effectively eliminate potential risks to staff and operations.
• Precision Installation: Coordinate and execute the exacting processes of leveling, aligning, and securely installing industrial machinery on designated foundations or sturdy base plates, preparing them meticulously for ongoing servicing.
• Facility Upkeep: Provide essential general painting, expert refinishing, and various necessary repairs to walls, ceilings, and floors across the hospital premises, contributing to a well-maintained and functional environment.

The Must-Haves
• Background: Entry-Level. Candidates are required to possess a High School Diploma or its equivalent. This foundational educational background should be complemented by core domain knowledge in general maintenance practices and an understanding of basic building systems.
• Experience: A minimum of 1 year of practical experience in a maintenance role or a closely related technical field is essential. Additionally, a Valid Driver’s License is a mandatory requirement for this position; please note that MVR approval and 5 years of driving experience are necessary for the operation of any Cone Health vehicle.
• Skills:
* Proficiency in equipment testing and effective repair techniques.
* Ability to accurately prepare and document work orders and reports.
* Strong communication skills for internal and external team collaboration.
* Competence in general painting, refinishing, and facility repair methods.
