RN Assistant Director of Nursing (ADON) | ClearView Healthcare Management

The Assistant Director of Nursing will play a vital role in fostering a collaborative team culture and ensuring a meaningful impact on the lives of residents.

• Team: Leads nursing staff, partners with and reports to the Director of Nursing.
• Mission: Owns the support of nursing leadership to ensure clinical excellence, staff development, and high-quality, compassionate care for all residents.
What You’ll Actually Do
• Direct Resident Care: Direct the comprehensive planning and delivery of nursing services to meet the medical needs of all residents, ensuring adherence to general nursing theory and practice for optimal care outcomes.
• Oversee Infection Control: Lead the coordination and implementation of facility-wide infection control programs, proactively monitoring and enforcing protocols to safeguard resident and staff health.
• Lead Staff Development: Develop and deliver effective staff education and training programs, assisting with the interviewing, hiring, and orientation of new nursing personnel to foster a highly skilled and competent clinical team.
• Manage Daily Operations: Oversee critical daily nursing operations, including managing the staffing schedule, ensuring accurate and timely completion of medical records, and assisting with compliance efforts while fostering effective communication across all nursing levels.
• Provide Leadership Support: Act as a key leadership presence within the clinical team, providing 24-hour on-call availability and maintaining flexibility in work schedule to respond to unpredictable needs and support continuous quality care.
The Must-Haves
• Background: Current Registered Nurse (RN) license.
• Experience: Long-Term Care experience (preferred); 2 years of management experience (preferred); 1 year of staff education experience (preferred).
• Skills: Demonstrated excellent verbal and written communication skills; Proven ability to maintain flexibility with work hours to address unpredictable needs.
