The Tone:
This is a full-time, in-office role at Dakota REIT Management, located in Fargo, ND. The TL;DR
• Role: Full Time
• Location: In-person, Fargo, ND
• Mission: This role is responsible for the full-charge accounting for a portfolio of commercial real estate properties, ensuring accurate financial reporting and supporting strategic financial planning and analysis.
• Tech Stack: Yardi, QuickBooks
What You’ll Actually Do
• Manage Property Accounting: Take on full-charge accounting responsibilities for a dedicated portfolio of commercial real estate properties.
• Consolidate Financial Statements: Perform monthly financial statement consolidation for the managed property portfolio.
• Support External Audits: Assist with the preparation of financial statements required for the annual audit of properties managed by outside management companies.
• Engage in Financial Planning: Contribute to the budgeting process and develop financial projections.
The Must-Haves
• Background: Bachelor’s degree in accounting is required for an accounting professional looking to develop into senior-level accounting and analyst duties.
• Experience: No specific years of experience are required, but prior experience with Yardi or QuickBooks software is a plus.
• Skills: Demonstrated strong written and verbal communication skills are essential for this role.
• Bonus: A CPA license or active pursuit of CPA licensure is strongly preferred, and experience in budgeting and financial projections is also a plus.
