Staff Accountant | CFS

The Staff Accountant will play a crucial role in supporting core accounting operations, including general ledger activity, reconciliations, and month-end close, thereby contributing directly to the continued growth of the business. The TL;DR
• Role: Full Time
• Location: In-person, Greater Orlando
• Pay: $55000–$65000 yearly
• Team: Accounting team reporting directly to leadership
• Mission: Support core accounting operations and contribute to business growth by ensuring accurate financial record-keeping and month-end close processes.

What You’ll Actually Do
• Journal Entries: Prepare and process journal entries to facilitate month-end closing procedures.
• Account Reconciliations: Perform comprehensive account reconciliations and resolve any variances identified.
• General Ledger Management: Maintain the integrity and accuracy of the general ledger and all financial records.
• Financial Analysis Support: Assist in budgeting, forecasting, and basic financial analysis activities.
• Reporting & Compliance: Contribute to accurate financial reporting, ensuring compliance with established standards.

The Must-Haves
• Background: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance for an early-career Staff Accountant.
• Experience: 2+ years of accounting experience, specifically with general ledger and account reconciliations.
• Skills: Journal entry preparation, account reconciliation, general ledger management, basic financial analysis, strong attention to detail, organizational skills.
• Bonus: Experience within the construction industry.
